The website you are currently viewing was the initial micro-site created as an information gathering exercise for Sustainable Bakewell c.i.c. (a community interest company based in Bakewell, Derbyshire).
We are now constructing a new, larger, more comprehensive web site which will reflect the developing programmes begun after our official Launch on 8 November 2008.
We would encourage you to complete the questionnaire, as we will collecting data on an on-going basis for some months.

LAUNCH of Sustainable Bakewell c.i.c. (community interest company)
We had a very successful Launch on Sat. 8 November, Medway Centre, Bakewell, from 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm, with over 90 people attending.
The Keynote address was given by Jim Dixon, Chief Executive, Peak District National Park.
Also attending were Patrick McLoughlin MP, Judith Twigg County & District Councillor, District Councillor & Bakewell Mayor Carol Walker, and District Councillor Charles Duncan.
Programme included an Exhibition on Sustainability related topics and services, Workshops, and a Question & Answer forum, with refreshments at the break. For details of this past event you can download this pdf file.

All Bakewell Residents (aged 16+), Businesses and Organisations are encouraged to complete the questionnaire – the more, the merrier!
You can use the On-Line Questionnaire available on this site to give your views, and ask questions, about environmental, energy and recycling topics in Bakewell. Or if you prefer, you can pick up a printed questionnaire at the Bakewell Tourist Information Centre on Bridge Street, and also return it there when completed.
Whichever way you want to respond, Please remember that the deadline for completed Questionnaires to be returned (whether done online or on paper) is Sunday 28th September. Please take part – we really want to know what you think!
